The Admissions and Discharge Nurse is a professional Registered Nurse (RN) who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. The Admission and Discharge Nurse floats throughout all units of the hospital and admits and/or discharge patients, & initiates Nursing Care Plans. This person works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team. (Full-TIme)
Must have successfully completed an approved Nursing Program and passed the RN NCLEX exam. Holds a current VI RN license.
Current BLS certification. NRP, ACLS and PALS certification preferred. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.
