The Medical Staff Nephrologist must be a qualified medical doctor. Will also admit and manage patients in the critical care unit. Privileges include hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and catheter insertion. Will utilize these modalities to diagnose and provide treatment decisions regarding the patients’ health problems and collaborate with other medical providers as to the appropriate management of patients and their conditions.
Must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States Virgin Islands and must be board certified in their specialty within 5 years of joining the organization. Must have BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
