Physical Therapist

Position

(Per Diem)

The Physical Therapist creates and administers patient care plans that promote movement,
reduces pain, restores function, and prevents disability. This individual works with the patient,
family members, and other health care providers to ensure the goals of the plan of care are met
and the patient outcomes are optimal. The Physical Therapist assumes responsibility and
accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards,
objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective
Department.

Hazards & Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours
a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. on an
occasional basis. Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body
fluids. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids and
infectious diseases.

Specific Requirements

American Heart Association BLS certification.
