SRMC HONORS NATIONAL HOSPITAL WEEK
St. Thomas, USVI — National Hospital Week is the largest healthcare event celebrated each year. During this week, hospitals around the nation pause to thank and recognize their employees. This year, National Hospital Week theme is "a Week of Thanks," which is held May 10th through 16th.
In honor of National Hospital Week, Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) thank all of its hard-working employees for the vital work being done every day at the Roy L Schneider Hospital and the Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center on St. John. Due to social distancing guidelines, SRMC held virtual celebrations all weeklong to recognize its employees for their years of dedicated service to the organization.
SRMC's Interim CEO, Dr. Luis Amaro, said: "We are extremely proud of our hard-working staff at SRMC, especially our heroic nurses, physicians, respiratory technicians, medical technicians, patient care technicians, dieticians and other hospital workers who care for our patients under these extraordinary circumstances."
"Now more than ever, with the emergence of COVID-19, this week allowed us to celebrate our healthcare workers for the risks they take every day to improve our patients' lives and to keep our community safe and healthy," said Dr. Amaro.
SRMC is proud of the community we serve and will continue to provide optimal care every day, even during these unprecedented and challenging times. #We Are Here For You!
