World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day

Started in 1988, #WorldAIDSDay was the first-ever global health day. World AIDS Day, observed each year on December 1, is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people with HIV, and remember those who have died from an HIV-related illness.

"COVID-19 has demonstrated that, during a pandemic, no one is safe until everyone is safe. Leaving people behind is not an option if we are to succeed. Eliminating stigma and discrimination, putting people at the centre, and grounding our responses in human rights are key to ending the colliding pandemics of HIV and COVID-19." said Schneider Regional Medical Center Interim CEO Dr. Luis Amaro. #WAD2020
